Young James Bond vs. global conspiracy: debut trailer of 007 First Light spy action game from Hitman creators is presented
Perhaps the most unexpected display at the State of Play show was the announcement trailer of spy action 007 First Light from Danish studio IO Interactive, which is known to gamers for the Hitman franchise.
Here's What We Know
The public was first shown a young James Bond, who in this story has not yet become a super agent and is just learning at the MI8 academy to master weapons, skills of covert operations and other tricks of the trade.
Despite his lack of experience, Agent 007 will have to fulfil a difficult task and identify a traitor in the ranks of MI8, after which he must be eliminated, as well as prevent a coup d'état - all in the best Bondian traditions.
The trailer doesn't reveal a small part of 007 First Light details, but it confirms the developers' statements that the game will be cinematic and spectacular.
Release dates were also revealed, with the game set to release in 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2.
