TCL has officially launched its new premium C8K (also known as C81K) TV in Europe. This model is identical to the TCL QM8K, which was recently launched in the US market.

Here's What We Know

It was first introduced in Europe back in April, and now the TV is available for purchase in Spain, France and Italy.

The TCL C8K range includes models with diagonals of 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches. Suggested retail prices are €1,499 for the 65-inch model, €1,899 for the 75-inch model, €2,499 for the 85-inch model, and the flagship 98-inch TV is priced at €3,499.

The TV is equipped with a 4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a proprietary CrystGlow WHVA panel with a 7,000:1 contrast ratio. The brightness in peak mode (HDR) reaches 5000 nits (in the 98-inch model), and the number of local dimming zones is up to 3,840. Thanks to Quantum Dot technology, the device covers 97% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The C8K is also aimed at gamers, with a TCL Game Bar, 288Hz Game Accelerator and HDMI 2.1 support. The built-in Bang Olufsen speakers support Dolby Atmos, and the ZeroBorder design ensures that there are almost no bezels.

The TV runs on the Google TV platform with support for Apple TV, Disney+ and Chromecast services. There is Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay. The model is not yet confirmed for other European markets, including the UK.
