Conquer Westeros: ambitious strategy game based on Game of Thrones universe announced at Summer Game Fest

One of the most unexpected announcements at Summer Game Fest was a new project based on the cult TV series Game of Thrones. Gamers saw the debut trailer of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros from PlaySide studio.

Here's What We Know

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is a large-scale real-time strategy, in which the player will be able to choose the side of one of the Great Houses and lead an army of Starks, Lannisters, Targaryens or even an army of dead led by the Night King himself.

In battles you can use not only infantry, cavalry and siege weapons, but also giants, dragons and other special creatures. On the battlefields will meet the iconic characters of Game of Thrones, but the events do not necessarily follow the plot of the series, so players will be able to change the outcome of key battles.

When We Can Expect It

No release date for Game of Thrones: War for Westeros has been given, it is expected in 2026 on Steam only.
