Obsidian rejoices: Grounded 2 - a new survival simulator in a funny setting - has been announced

At Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Obsidian Entertainment studio not only revealed the release date for The Outer Worlds 2, but also announced their new game.

Here's What We Know

The famous developer presented the debut trailer of the relaxing survival simulator Grounded 2, which will be a sequel to the mega-popular 2020 game about how insect-sized humans reduced to the size of insects find themselves in a huge backyard and encounter ants, termites and other "giant" creatures there.

The trailer doesn't reveal any details about the sequel, but it's clear that Obsidian won't change Grounded's usual mechanics, but will intelligently expand them with new features.

When We Can Expect It

Grounded 2 launches in Early Access on 29 July on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
