Bandai Namco and Polish studio Rebel Wolves, founded by the former head of development of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and one of the key developers of Cyberpunk 2077 - Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and his brother Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, who was the quest director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, presented the first gameplay trailer of the ambitious RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Here's What We Know

At Xbox Games Showcase 2025 the audience was presented with spectacular footage, which confirms that The Blood of Dawnwalker resembles The Witcher 3 in many ways - it will also be a dark action-RPG with a deep combat system, interesting characters, branching dialogues and a huge number of morally ambiguous dilemmas. The video is even called "Trapped Between Two Worlds" (Trapped Between Two Worlds), hinting at the fact that the protagonist Cohen swings between his humanity and his new vampire nature, and only the player's actions will determine where the scales will tip.

The game has great graphics and art-design, but we would like to mention the great music, which is also reminiscent of The Witcher.

The authors have confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in 2026.

Flashback

The events of The Blood of Dawnwalker will unfold in the XIV century Europe, and in the centre of the story will be a clan of ancient Carpathian vampires. During the mentioned period the plague epidemic was raging in Europe, but vampires are immune to this disease and can even save mortals, but the consequence of this will be not only the expansion of vampire power, but also partial transformation of people into bloodsuckers.

The protagonist of the game will be a peasant Cohen, who is forced to take the help of vampires and partly became one of them.
