Japanese gods come into play - Heavenly Spear add-on announced for Age of Mythology: Retold

Microsoft and World's Edge studio announced the next add-on for the popular fantasy strategy game Age of Mythology: Retold (remake of 2024).

Here's What We Know

DLC will be called Heavenly Spear and will be based on Japanese mythology.

The game will add 12 gods, each of which will have unique abilities and game mechanics. Other creatures from traditional Japanese beliefs will also appear in Age of Mythology: Retold.

Heavenly Spear's storyline, which consists of 12 missions, will be centred around a farmer's daughter, who will be unexpectedly drawn into a showdown with higher powers.

When We Can Expect It

Heavenly Spear will be released in autumn 2025 to coincide with the release of Age of Mythology: Retold on PlayStation 5. And now the game is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
