For comparison, the original Nintendo Switch sold 2.74 million units in less than its first month. This means that the Switch 2 has outsold its predecessor by almost one and a half times in a much shorter period of time, which is a remarkable achievement.

This news comes shortly after The Game Business reported that Switch 2 is now the fastest-selling Nintendo console in UK history, surpassing the previous record holder, the Nintendo 3DS.
