Rumours: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 pre-orders will start on 20 June, but the price remains a major mystery
Call of Duty fans, get your wallets ready, because we know the date when pre-orders for Black Ops 7 will start. Thanks to the advertising posters that have already arrived at GameStop stores, insiders have revealed that the opportunity to place an order will appear very soon. This means that the wave of hype around the new shooter is only gaining momentum.
Here's What We Know
Treyarch and Raven Software surprised Call of Duty fans during the Xbox Showcase by presenting the Black Ops 7 trailer. The game is set in 2035 and is a direct continuation of BO2 and BO6. The team, led by BO2 protagonist David Mason, is tasked with taking down a familiar enemy, Raul Menendez.
Black Ops 7 offers a co-operative campaign, a round-based zombie mode, and new maps for multiplayer. It has also been confirmed that the game will be released on previous generation consoles, which is great news for PS4 and Xbox One owners. And as for when you can get your hands on the game, pre-orders look set to start soon!
Call of Duty insider CharlieIntel said: "GameStop stores have started receiving Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 posters and some stores are being told that the posters are being added to pre-orders starting on 20 June."
It's unclear whether the posters will be available only with pre-orders of a physical copy of the game at GameStop. The announcement also does not specify what other bonuses are available for pre-ordering the game or when it will be officially released. Nevertheless, June 20 will obviously be an important date for everyone who is waiting for BO7.
It is worth noting that Microsoft confirmed that Outer Worlds 2 is the first game to cost $80, after previously announcing that prices for its games from its own studios would be raised starting this holiday season. Therefore, we can safely assume that BO7 will also join the $80 video game lineup.
