Nintendo DS of our time: Ayaneo unveiled the Flip 1S DS handheld game console with dual screens and a powerful processor

Chinese manufacturer of popular gaming gadgets Ayaneo presented its new Flip 1S DS model, which combines the concept of the iconic Nintendo DS console with the high performance of modern iron.

Here's What We Know

Ayaneo Flip 1S DS, just like its idea mastermind, has a foldable design with two screens: the main display got a 7″OLED panel with Full HD resolution and 144Hz, while the secondary screen is just a 4.5″ IPS panel with 800p resolution.

Windows 11 has been chosen as the operating system, and the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with integrated Radeon 890M graphics will provide high performance.

The console has two USB4 ports and an efficient cooling system. Other technical details will be revealed later.

It should be emphasised that developers will not create special games for the Ayaneo Flip 1S DS as they did with the Nintendo DS, so the functional use of the additional display can only be found in a few titles. This decision is more of a design decision and pays homage to the iconic Japanese gadget.

The cost of the device and the sales launch date remain unknown for now.
