A reference to the imminent end of support for Apple's proprietary routers has been found in the macOS 26 beta.
Here's What We Know
User X under the nickname @StellaFudge posted a screenshot of a notification that appeared when macOS 26 was first launched.
It says that AirPort/Time Capsule routers will no longer be supported in the next version of the system (macOS 27).
This decision isn't surprising, as Apple hasn't released routers since 2018 and even disbanded the team responsible for them.
