Gamescom 2025 is set to become the biggest gaming event of the year: Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Capcom have already confirmed their participation

The Gamescom team has revealed the first wave of partners that will take part in Gamescom 2025 in August. This is just the beginning, as the organisers promise even more big names and unforgettable events at the world's largest gaming event.

Earlier this year, the Gamescom team announced that Nintendo would be partnering with the brand at Gamescom 2025 in August. This was just the opening of the first wave of announcements revealed by the team.

It was confirmed that Niantic, Ubisoft, Wargaming, Team 17, Astragon, and Capcom will be appearing at Gamescom 2025, and as the team noted, this is "just the beginning."

It all starts with the Opening Night Live ceremony on 19 August, which will be presented by Geoff Keighley in Cologne.

In April, it was confirmed that the city of Cologne had expanded its significant partnership with Gamescom organisers.
