Vivo is preparing to release the foldable flagship smartphone X Fold 5. We have already reported that it will get a great camera unit and will be able to take high-quality photos.

Now the manufacturer has revealed a unique for Android smartphones feature that the novelty will get.

Here's What We Know

On its page in Weibo, the Chinese brand said that the X Fold 5 will get support for Apple Watch, which has never happened with Android gadgets before.

The Vivo flagship will be able to display incoming calls and messages received on the Apple Watch, as well as receive data from the Health app. At the same time, synchronisation of the watch with iPhone and Mac remains available - calls received on Vivo can be displayed on other devices in the Apple ecosystem.

Integration is realised through an iCloud account. Vivo also promises iCloud Drive support and synchronisation of photos, notes and other services.

X Fold 5 buyers will be able to use the smartphone as an extended display for Mac - similar to the Sidecar.

Vivo has yet to reveal how such functionality was able to be added to Android without official APIs.

Vivo is expected to unveil the X Fold 5 foldable smartphone in China later this month.
