Renault has unveiled the vision 4rescue, a demonstration electric vehicle for the emergency services, created in conjunction with Software République and the fire service. The new Renault 4 E-Tech has been taken as the basis.

Here's What We Know

The car received a special painting with grey chevrons, inscriptions "RESCUE" and "SAPEURS POMPIERS" on the sides, as well as yellow-red reflective inserts.

The ground clearance has been increased by 15 mm and a second electric motor for all-wheel drive has been added. The roof is equipped with a structure for short- and long-range drones, 5G network equipment, a backpack with essentials and Wi-Fi for disaster recovery.

The boot is divided into two parts. The upper one contains a retractable table with two screens and a computer for drone control and communication with teams. The lower one has two compartments for equipment - helmets, bags, tablets, radios.

The interior is fitted with handrails and fire-resistant seats made from recycled materials.

Renault calls vision 4rescue a mobile command centre with nearly 20 interconnected solutions to standardise emergency services and rapid response technologies.
