Apple has officially postponed the launch of new Siri features that were announced back in 2024. According to Bloomberg and journalist Mark Gurman, the company has set an internal goal to release these features in the first half of 2026, probably in the iOS 26.4 update in the spring.

Here's What We Know

Gurman refers to the words of Apple executives Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak, who confirmed that due to problems with the quality of testing of new Siri features, it was decided to postpone the release. Apple has changed the basic architecture of Siri to improve its performance and reliability.

The first demonstrations of the new Apple Intelligence Siri took place at WWDC 2024, and Apple actively promoted these features along with iPhone 16 models. However, many users were disappointed with the delayed release of the features, and some even initiated class action lawsuits.

If the development proves successful, Apple may show Siri personalisation features as early as autumn 2025 with the launch of the iPhone 17. New Siri features should include personal context, on-screen content recognition, and deeper integration with apps.

During WWDC 2025, Apple did not focus on future Siri features, focusing on those already available in the first beta version of the systems. From now on, users will have to wait until the spring of 2026 to appreciate the new level of Apple's intelligent assistant.
