Philips Hue has introduced a new version of its iOS app, 5.44.0. This update comes a few weeks after the release of version 5.43.0, which brought improvements to the brand's Secure cameras, smart switches and sensors.

Here's What We Know

This update currently contains mostly small bug fixes and stability improvements, with no major new features.

Many users are disappointed that the Philips Hue AI assistant is not yet available to everyone. The assistant recently became available to English-speaking users in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. It allows you to create customised lighting effects depending on your mood or event, supports voice and text requests, and has a preference rating function.

It is not yet known when Philips Hue AI Assistant will become available to more users, nor when an update to the Android app will be released. The latest version for Android is 5.43, which was released at the end of May 2025. You can download the new 5.44.0 version for iOS now in the Apple App Store.

In March, Philips Hue added a new QR code feature in the latest update to the iOS and Android app. Users can now quickly add new devices to their room by scanning the QR codes that come with them.

The 5.38.0 update brings several useful features for users who have multiple Hue Bridges. It is now possible to change the order of Hue Bridge devices on the app's home page.
