Is a "TrumpPhone" on the way? US President plans to release his own smartphones
Trump is getting bigger: after taking office as US president, he launched his own cryptocurrency (which promptly failed) and now plans to try his hand at releasing smartphones.
Here's What We Know
This conclusion is reached by information that DTTM Operations LLC, the company Trump uses to manage his trademarks, has applied to use the "Trump" and "T1" marks for telecommunications, smartphones and mobile accessories.
The applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office cover wireless communication services, mobile phones, cases and chargers, and retail shops for their sale.
It's certainly not a given that the "TrumpPhone" will actually go on sale, but patent attorney Josh Gerben indicated on his blog that the nature of the applications is serious enough that he believes Trump's lawyers will sign a declaration that confirms the company's plans to release the gadget and provide communications services.
