Xiaomi has unveiled detailed renders of the Redmi K Pad, a compact tablet that could compete with the iPad Mini.

The manufacturer is not sharing much information about the tablet yet, saving it for 18 June - the day of the big presentation of its gadgets.
What is known is that the Redmi K Pad will offer an 8.8″LCD display with 3K+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, as well as a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor.
Renders unveiled by Xiaomi today revealed that the tablet will get a metal frame with a fibreglass back panel. Previous teasers showed the new tablet in a light green colour, while the new render showed the Redmi K Pad in a light purple variant.
The new product will not be exclusive to the Chinese market and will eventually appear in other regions.
