Suzuki Jimny 55e anniversaire: the latest special edition for France
The Suzuki Jimny is unavailable for purchase in Europe due to strict environmental regulations. In most EU countries, sales ceased in mid-2024. But France recently saw a brief comeback.
Here's What We Know
In honour of its iconic SUV, which has sold more than three million copies worldwide in 55 years, Suzuki sold a limited edition of 55 vehicles in France: the Jimny 55ème anniversaire. In this way, Suzuki France celebrated the farewell of the current version of the Jimny to the local market.
The farewell model looks similar to the Jimny Horizon, with which the series ended in Germany. The Jimny 55ème anniversaire is based on the French version of the Privilège V.U. and features several exclusive original elements: a retro Suzuki grille, side stickers, a soft spare wheel cover with a stylised rhinoceros (a symbol of the Jimny since the 80s), rubber mats in the cabin and boot, and red mudguards. Each buyer will receive a leather-bound travel diary to record the best memories of Suzuki journeys, a keychain and off-road driving training.
Each Jimny 55ème anniversaire is numbered and carries a commemorative plaque at the base of the centre console. The limited edition is available in four body colours: White, Jungle Green, Bluish Black and Medium Gray.
Anniversary Edition features complement the Jimny Privilège's standard equipment: air conditioning, heated seats, Bluetooth audio system, lane departure and lane change warning, automatic high beam shift and traffic sign recognition.
The Jimny 55ème anniversaire is powered by a 1.5-litre 102bhp petrol engine coupled to a five-speed manual and all-wheel drive. The limited edition model is priced at €28,955.
