Capcom recently revealed that the second major update for Monster Hunter Wilds will be released at the end of June. Its release date and details were expected to be revealed during Capcom's Spotlight presentation on 27 June, but the PlayStation website accidentally revealed the information.

Here's What We Know

Sony made a mistake and published information about the update ahead of time. Thus, it became known that it will be released on 30 June and will add to the game not only Lagiacrus, but also another monster, plus an additional formidable enemy will be added as part of a temporary event.

As announced by the developers, Monster Hunter Wilds will feature the ability to change the appearance of weapons without affecting their characteristics - this option will be called "layered weapons", but most gamers know it as "transmogrification".

It remains unknown whether optimisation improvements will appear in the patch, but gamers have already downgraded the game so low on Steam that it's simply impossible to delay.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
