Sales of the Anbernic RG Slide, a handheld gaming console for those nostalgic for the PSP Go, have begun

The manufacturer of popular gaming gadgets company Anbernic has released a portable console RG Slide, conceptually similar to the smartphone Sony Xperia Play and the once famous PSP Go.

Here's What We Know

Like the aforementioned gadgets from Sony, the novelty has a slider design: the screen pulls upwards, revealing full-sized sticks and buttons.

The gadget can run games from PS2, GameCube, Wii and other classic gaming devices, and also supports launching via cloud services and there is native support for Android games.

The console has a 4.7″ LTPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1280×960 p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits of brightness.

The Unisoc T820 chipset (8 cores) and integrated Mali-G57 graphics are responsible for the performance.

The gadget is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and supports MicroSD up to 2TB.

The 5000 mAh battery offers up to 6 hours of continuous usage.

Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0 support is provided, while the ports include USB-C DisplayPort and a 3.5mm jack. The operating system used is Android 13 with AI features.

The price of the Anbernic RG Slide is $190.
