Garmin quatix 8: a smart watch that controls your yacht with your voice
Garmin has officially presented a new smartwatch for yachtsmen and sailors - the quatix 8. The main features of the model are a built-in microphone and speaker with voice commands for controlling navigation equipment and making phone calls right from the watch, as well as an even more robust case and AMOLED display.
The watch is available in two sizes - 47 mm and 51 mm, both with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, sapphire crystal and titanium bezel. The buttons are now leak-proof, and the sensors are covered with a metal casing for added durability. The model is water resistant to 40 metres and certified to military standards for heat and shock resistance.

An important feature is the support for voice control via Bluetooth for Garmin Chartplotter. The watch allows you to add points, manage your route, and control the electric motor and multimedia system right from your wrist. You can also receive calls and reply to messages by voice.
Separate functions are available for yachting and fishing: notification of tide changes, anchor wear, race support, regatta timer, tacking assistance, and much more.
Another bonus is a powerful flashlight with different modes, including a red light for night vision.
The battery life is up to 16 days in the 47 mm version and up to 29 days in the 51 mm version.
