Epic Games has once again demonstrated that it is better not to mess with it. The company has officially confirmed that it is suing a player for using cheats in a tournament and has already won the case. This is a serious warning to anyone trying to bend the rules.

Here's What We Know

Although Epic Games did not name the player publicly, the company imposed a lifetime ban and sued for $175,000 in damages. The reason: the player "used fraudulent software and hardware and tried to avoid detection by using multiple accounts".

"It didn't work. Cheating has no place in Fortnite, and we are doing everything we can to stop it, including legal action," the company said earlier.

Now, Epic Games has announced that the judge "ruled in our favour after the cheater ignored our lawsuit". "The player is obliged to pay $175,000, and we will donate the funds raised to charity. He is also banned from Fortnite forever," the company added.

This case sends a clear message: Epic Games not only declares its fight against fraudsters, but also actively uses all available legal levers. Recently, Epic Games also filed a new lawsuit against the developers of cheat programs for Fortnite, Sincey Cheats and Vanta Cheats. This demonstrates the company's systematic approach to protecting fair play and its community.
