New content and technical improvements: Monster Hunter Wilds has received its second major update
Capcom has released the promised second major update for Monster Hunter Wilds, which in addition to new content brings long-awaited performance improvements.
Here's What We Know
Two iconic monsters, Lagiacrus and Seregios, and their hardened (reinforced) versions have returned to the game. To fight them, players must reach level 31 and 41 respectively.
Monster Hunter Wilds adds new missions, cosmetic items, gestures, hairstyles and even a new location in the Scarlet Forest.
The developers have implemented support for DLSS 4 and FSR 4 and reworked the shader compilation system, which significantly improved performance on PC.
However, Capcom admitted that when trying to change the appearance of equipment or palico with the help of transmogrification, crashes may occur. A fix is promised in the next patch.
In addition, the developers announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will have a temporary event Festival of Accord, which starts on 23 July and lasts until 6 August. Players will be rewarded with festive rewards, including a unique trainer outfit.
The update is already available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. A full list of changes can be found on Capcom's official website.
