Along with the season 3 finale of the cult series, Netflix has launched a major update to Squid Game: Unleashed. New characters, new games, new rewards - now you can try to survive this frantic battle even without a Netflix subscription.

What we know

Squid Game: Unleashed is a 32-player party-royale game created by Boss Fight, a Netflix studio. Everything here is just like in the series: familiar locations, iconic costumes, disturbing music, and a chance to crash into the ground in the very first round.

New challenges are added to the classic ones:

  • "Marbles is a familiar horror from the first season.
  • "Jump Rope is a fresh trap from the third season.
  • "Hide and Seek" is, well, hide and seek... but with consequences.
  • "Sky Squid Game is another survival game for those with nerves of titanium.

Even more heroes with their own stories and skills:

  • Hwang Jun-ho is a cop looking for the truth.
  • Lee Myung-gi (Player 333) is a crypto influencer who failed to withdraw his money.
  • Kim Jun-hee (Player 222) is a woman who was drawn into the game by a bad investment.
  • Kang No-eul is a former military officer looking for her child.
  • Seon-nyeo (Player 044) is a shaman with prophecies and curses. Those who are not afraid of her have already lost.

Now players can not only watch the series, but also earn rewards for watching episodes of the third season - only Netflix can afford this. We also added social features such as chat, ratings, and teams. After all, how else can you argue about who failed the game?

"Squid Game

"Squid Game is the most watched Netflix series in the history of the platform. After the release of the second season at the end of 2024, it broke a bunch of records again. The first season had 265.2 million views, and the second is already catching up with 192.6 million. This show turned the internet upside down, set trends (remember those white Vans sneakers that went up by 8,000%), and even won an Emmy, becoming the first non-English series to do so.

The franchise now includes reality shows, tours with real games for fans, and now a full-fledged Squid Game: Unleashed, which is on track to become Netflix's most downloaded game.
