Nothing introduced Headphone (1) - the brand's first full-size headphones with an unusual design and impressive battery life
Nothing has kept its promise and simultaneously with its first flagship smartphone Phone (3) has unveiled the debut of its own full-size headphones Headphone (1).
Here's What We Know
Recall, representatives of Nothing were dissatisfied with the design of headsets of competing companies and planned to surprise the public with a non-standard look at a modern gadget.
Those who followed the leaks will not learn much new, because both photos and specifications have already appeared on the network, but now they have been officially reported.
So, the Headphones (1) focus on quality sound, recognisable design and smart controls.
The main features of the headphones are:
- 40mm drivers with a wide range of reproducible frequencies (20-40,000 Hz);
- active noise cancellation up to 42 dB with adaptive adjustment;
- up to 80 hours without ANC and up to 35 hours with ANC;
- support for LDAC, AAC, SBC codecs, connectivity via Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C and 3.5mm cable;
- physical controls: volume wheel, track slider, button and mode switch;
- weight - 329 grams, IP52 protection against moisture and dust.
Acoustic tuning is made in co-operation with the British company KEF. The ear cushions of unusual rectangular shape are made of memory foam and treated with oil-resistant coating.
The novelty supports Google Fast Pair, head recognition, personal sound profile, device search by map, multipoint, gesture control.
Headphones (1) got additional features:
- switching between recent audio apps (Channel Hop);
- access to notes and content via Essential Space;
- support for voice assistants including ChatGPT and Gemini;
- fast charging: 5 minutes of power gives up to 2.5 hours of ANC-enabled listening.
Headphones (1) will go on sale on 15 July. You can pre-order from 4 July on Nothing's official website. The recommended retail price is $299 / €299 / £299.
