Acer has unveiled the Predator GP30 RGB portable gamer SSD with high speed and spectacular design

The Predator brand, which is owned by Acer, has announced the GP30 RGB external SSD drive aimed at gamers and professional users.
Here's What We Know
The device combines high performance, compactness and stylish design with a transparent cover and dynamic RGB backlighting.
The main features of the Predator GP30 RGB are:
- USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C interface with up to 20Gbps throughput;
- sequential read and write speeds up to 2000 MB/sec;
- USB-C and USB-A connectivity;
- Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, HarmonyOS and PlayStation compatibility;
- ProRes 4K video recording at 60 and 120 FPS;
- storage capacities: 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB;
- dimensions: 61.2 × 71.8 × 11.5 mm, weight 66.5 g.
The GP30 RGB comes with a licensed version of Acronis True Image for backup and data transfer, as well as a protective case and USB-A/USB-C cable. The drive glows purple in standby mode and switches to a seven-colour mode when transferring data.
The Predator GP30 RGB is already available in the Chinese market, priced (in RMB terms):
- 1TB - around $110
- 2TB - about $205
- 4TB - around $340
- 8TB - no price has been announced yet.
Information on the global launch of the SSD drive from Acer is expected later.
