Honor Magic V5, the world's thinnest foldable smartphone with record battery capacity in its class, has been unveiled
Honor has launched a new flagship foldable smartphone Magic V5 on the Chinese market, which has already managed to get the title of "the thinnest in the world" among the devices of its class.
Here's What We Know
Honor Magic V5 not only impresses with its design, but also sets a new bar for foldable smartphones, its thickness is just 8.8mm when folded (in Ivory colour version) and 4.1mm when unfolded. The other colours are slightly thicker at 9mm.
Honor Magic V5 specifications:
- Internal display - 7.95", LTPO OLED, 2352×2172 pixels, 120 Hz;
- external display - 6.43", 2376×1060 pixels, 120 Hz;
- Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor;
- 12/16GB of RAM and 256/512GB or 1TB of inbuilt storage;
- battery capacity - 5820 mAh (China) / 6100 mAh (global version), support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The novelty got a great set of cameras:
- main: 50 MP (f/1.6);
- wide-angle: 50 MP (f/2.0);
- telephoto lens: 64 MP (f/2.5), 70 mm, AI-superzoom and telemacro support;
- front cameras: 20MP on each screen.
The Honor Magic V5 is available in four colours: Ivory, Black, Golden Dawn and Reddish Brown. Prices range from $1255 to $1535 (in RMB terms) depending on the configuration.
The global release of the ultra-thin smartphone from Honor is expected in the coming months.
