Techland returns to its roots: the authors of Dying Light are working on a new part of Call of Juarez
Polish studio Techland is known as the author of the popular zombie action series Dying Light, which became the spiritual successor of the first part of Dead Island. However, few people remember that the studio's fame was brought by the Call of Juarez series of shooters, the events of which take place in the Wild West.
The last part of the Call of Juarez series with the subtitle Gunslinger was released in 2013 and failed, after which nothing was heard about the franchise, except that in 2018 Techland bought the rights to the franchise from Ubisoft.
Here's What We Know
Unexpected information was shared by authoritative insider Tom Henderson.
In his material dedicated to the details of the cancelled Techland games, the journalist said that at the moment the Poles are working not only on Dying Light: The Beast, which will be released on August 22, but also ... on the new part of Call of Juarez!
All we know about the game is that it is created on Unreal Engine.
Tom Henderson contacted Techland and asked about the new game, but that the developers said that "they will tell about all the news in due time". That said, they did not deny information about the next instalment of Call of Juarez.
