The news flow continues in the information space, directly or indirectly related to the large-scale wave of layoffs at Microsoft, which will leave more than 9,000 people out of work (but the head of Xbox is not going to leave).

The corporation's decision has affected the plans of many studios, including Blizzard.

Here's What We Know

The American company announced that it is ending content support for the conditionally free mobile game Warcraft Rumble.

Blizzard will continue to release technical patches and hold in-game events, but new content will definitely not appear in the game.

In general, this news doesn't seem surprising, as Warcraft Rumble, which was released in 2023, failed to interest hardcore fans of the franchise, or attract a sufficient audience of casual players.

Plus, as revealed in a post by fired senior software engineer AJ Davis, the company has cut "a significant portion of the Warcraft Rumble team," so it won't even have anyone to update it.
