Xiaomi has unveiled a new ceiling dryer that you won't find right away

Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro, a smart ceiling dryer that looks like a stylish light fixture, but also fulfils an important function, especially when space is limited.

The Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro is an improved version of the ceiling dryer that came out almost three years ago.

Only 9.5 cm thick, the device is built into the ceiling and when folded looks like a 3D light fixture with 120 LEDs that illuminates the room with a brightness of up to 2200 lumens, and the colour temperature can be adjusted to suit your mood.

The new product offers 94 drying places - from T-shirts to blankets, everything will find its place. It can hold up to 35kg and provides 40 open hanging slots, 20 slots for retractable rods, 32 slots for rotating hooks and 2 blanket rods.

The Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro is controlled via the Mi Home app, voice or remote control. It is made using durable materials: aluminium alloy and stainless steel. The motor runsQuietly (only 55dB) and the safety system includes auto stop on collision and bounce protection.

The dryer is integrated into the HyperOS ecosystem, so it can work in tandem with other Xiaomi smart appliances like a washing machine or dehumidifier.

The price of the Mijia Smart Clothes Dryer 2 Pro is $237 on promotion.
