Honor is preparing a competitor for Z Flip7 - Magic V Flip 2 will charge faster
Honor is preparing to release the second generation of a foldable smartphone in the clamshell format - Magic V Flip 2. According to a new leak from China, the device has the model number CLE-AN00.
Here's What We Know
The main advantage of Magic V Flip 2 will be the support for fast charging with a power of 80W. This is a significant improvement over the first version, which only supported 66W charging.
The Magic V Flip 2 will be a direct competitor for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, as well as the Motorola Razr+ 2025. However, thanks to the new features, Honor may be ahead of its rivals in terms of charging speed. For comparison, the Razr Ultra 2025 supports charging up to 68W, and Xiaomi's Mix Flip 2 supports 67W. It is expected that the new Honor device will be able to charge faster than anyone else in its class.
Rumours also indicate that Magic V Flip 2 will have a larger battery than its competitors, although there is a possibility that the smartphone will be less flagship in terms of its content. It is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
It is not yet known whether the new product will receive wireless charging support. There is also no confirmation that Magic V Flip 2 will be sold outside of China. In contrast, the Motorola Razr+ 2025 is already available in the US on Amazon for $999.99.
The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is expected to officially launch in August 2025.
