The wait will be long: the queue to receive the Xiaomi YU7 electric sedan has stretched for 434 days
At the end of June, the presentation of the second electric car from Xiaomi took place.
The YU7 sedan aroused huge interest of the public and in the first 3 minutes after the start of pre-orders 200,000 applications were made, and in the first hour - 289,000! Of these, 240,000 applications were confirmed with a deposit.
Here's What We Know
Ten days after the launch, the first customers started receiving their cars.
The company's CEO Lei Jun posted photos of joyful car owners from 58 major cities in China on his Weibo page. We are truly happy for the first owners of Xiaomi YU7, but we do not envy those who are at the end of the queue. Unfortunately, they will have to wait at least 62 weeks - 434 days - to get behind the wheel of their own electric car.
The volume of orders is so large that the Chinese corporation can not cope with production and will even launch another factory producing cars in the near future.
Recall, Xiaomi has officially started road tests of its flagship SU7 Ultra sedan in Europe.
