ASUS has unveiled the ROG Strix XG27ACDMS gaming monitor, which will be one of the most affordable QD-OLED displays on the market.

Here's What We Know

The novelty debuted in China and has already generated interest thanks to its combination of high refresh rate, quality colour reproduction and reasonable price.

The model features a 27″ QD-OLED panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 280Hz. With a response time of just 0.03ms and a colour gamut of up to 99% DCI-P3 with 10-bit colour depth and Delta E<2 accuracy, the monitor is particularly attractive to gamers and cyber athletes.

One of the key features of the ROG Strix XG27ACDMS is the NEO Proximity Sensor system - the screen automatically switches off if the user moves away from the monitor, which helps prevent OLED-matrix burn-in. ASUS has provided DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode support and 3.5mm audio output. NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync technologies are supported.

The ROG Strix XG27ACDMS costs around $550 (in RMB terms) in China, making it the most affordable monitor of its class on the market.

As of now, ASUS hasn't officially announced a release date for the ROG Strix XG27ACDMS monitor outside of China, but it has already listed the model on its global website, which could indicate a launch in other regions soon.
