Samsung has officially excluded three models from the list of devices that will receive the update: the Galaxy A22 5G, Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7 FE. This happened ahead of the release of One UI 8 based on Android 16.

Here's What We Know

All three devices were released in June 2021 and have received updates for four years. The A22 5G and F52 5G models started with Android 11 and were updated to Android 13. The Tab S7 FE even received three major updates to Android 14. None of these devices received One UI 7.0 (based on Android 15), so One UI 8 was out of the question for them.

The Galaxy A22 in the 4G version will remain with updates until August, but the 5G model lost support in July

Samsung is already preparing for a large-scale presentation on 9 July, where it will showcase new foldable smartphones with One UI 8 pre-installed.

Samsung remains among the market leaders in terms of the duration of updates: the company offers up to 5-7 years of support for many models.
