iPhone 17 Air video leaked online: what will Apple's thinnest iPhone look like?
A video with a mock-up of the iPhone 17 Air, Apple's upcoming smartphone that could become the thinnest in the company's lineup, has been posted online. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the device will be only 5.5 mm thick at the thinnest part.
Here's What We Know
To achieve such a compact form factor, Apple is likely to make several compromises. Compared to the iPhone 17 Pro, the Air model will have only one main camera, one speaker, an A19 chip instead of an A19 Pro, and a shorter battery life.
In the video, you can see the alleged characteristics of the device:
- 6.6-inch display with Dynamic Island
- 48-megapixel main camera with oval block
- USB-C port
- Action button and Camera Control button
- one speaker
- MagSafe support
In addition, the iPhone 17 Air will have 12 GB of RAM and no physical SIM card slot. Apple is fully switching to eSIM even outside the US. A branded case with an additional battery is also expected to be released.
The official presentation of the iPhone 17 Air is expected in September 2025. There are less than two months left before the announcement.
