Ilon Musk has promised to implement Grok at Tesla as early as next week

Ilon Musk has announced that Grok, the artificial intelligence from his company xAI, will appear directly in Tesla's electric cars. He made this announcement in his own style, without specifying a timeline or implementation details, but with the assurance that "it will be soon".

The integration of Grok into Tesla's interface could mean that instead of a boring voice assistant, the car will have an AI with a personality, prone to "less politically correct" responses, as Grok's use of X (formerly Twitter) has already shown.

Grok was previously positioned as a chatbot with access to real-time data, able to not only answer questions but also comment on news. Its integration into cars could turn the car into a chatty travelling companion - or another source of AI contraptions. Against the backdrop of Tesla's ambitions to strengthen its position in autopilot and next-generation interfaces, the decision to embed a conversational bot into the car as well looks like the next step in turning the auto into a platform.

Details are still scarce: it's unclear whether Grok will be built into the car's OS or connected via an X subscription. But given Musk's general trend of unifying his companies into an ecosystem - from X to xAI to Tesla - the "everything through Grok" logic fits his strategy.
