Media: OpenAI will soon launch an innovative browser with ChatGPT integration
OpenAI - the developer of the ChatGPT AI model - will launch its own browser in the coming weeks.
Here's What We Know
Reuters journalists have information that OpenAI is close to releasing a browser and intends to change the very way users interact with web pages.
This is planned to be achieved by integrating ChatGPT, which will be able to perform some tasks instead of a human. It is known that OpenAI will add to the browser the function of Operator - a model that can, for example, independently set filters in an online shop to find the desired product faster.
The browser is being developed on the open source Chromium engine, and two Google vice presidents who were part of the Chrome development team are involved in its creation, and OpenAI recently poached them.
Notably, OpenAI is interested in buying Chrome, and if Google is forced to sell the browser due to antitrust proceedings - Sam Altman's startup will make every effort to buy it.
