Capcom publishing house held a full presentation of Resident Evil Survival Unit mobile strategy game with horror elements.

Aniplex and JOYCITY Corporation are responsible for the development of the game, and Capcom makes sure that all components of the game are in line with the Resident Evil franchise canon.

The authors claim that the change of genre should help to attract a new audience to the famous series.

RE producer Masachika Kawata called Survival Unit "the dream of all fans", but something suggests that many of them will not agree with this formulation.

The events of the game will unfold simultaneously with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, but in a parallel universe.

In Resident Evil Survival Unit will appear heroes and creatures from different parts of the series, but there will also be completely new monsters. Gamers will definitely see the iconic Leon, Claire and Jill, and each of them will have a unique set of skills and equipment.

The plot of the game starts in a hospital where the Umbrella Corporation is conducting biological experiments. The protagonist comes to his senses and tries to make sense of the events, after which he has to escape to an asylum, where he will be able to meet other characters, including the famous merchant from Resident Evil 4.

Survival Unit gameplay is all about the proper placement of traps and defences, as well as solving puzzles and finding resources.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is expected to release later this year on Android and iOS. Pre-registration is already open.

The game will be conditionally free-to-play with in-game purchases.
