Galaxy Fold 7 shows the best battery life among Samsung foldable smartphones

Galaxy Z Fold 7 has the same 4400 mAh battery as its five predecessors. The novelty pleasantly surprised us with its battery life. The smartphone has passed a series of intensive tests and demonstrated a battery life that exceeds Fold 6 and Fold 5.

The YouTube channel Lover of Tech conducted a benchmark in which Fold 7 was tested under load: 4K video recording, Instagram live streams, TikTok browsing, YouTube videos, and music streaming. The final result was 5 hours, 36 minutes and 31 seconds of active screen use. For comparison, the Fold 6 completed the test with 5:15:15, and the Fold 5 completed the test with an hour less.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 also remained the coolest under load. Most likely, this is due to the increased body area, which dissipates heat better.

Samsung decided not to increase the battery capacity, instead focusing on optimisation. The new Snapdragon chip, more efficient cooling, and improved software have made it possible to squeeze the most out of the familiar battery.

It's worth noting that users who upgrade from the Fold 6 will not experience a significant increase in battery life. However, those upgrading from Fold 5 or older models will definitely notice a difference.
