Samsung has officially started working on the One UI 8 update for its foldable smartphones - Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. This is evidenced by the firmware on the company's servers, according to TarunVats insider.

Here's What We Know

So far, Samsung has not officially started rolling out One UI 8 for any devices, so owners of Fold 4 and Flip 4 will have to wait a little longer. First, the newer models - Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 - will receive the update, and a month after their release, the update should reach the previous models.

One UI 8 is based on Android 16 and will be the last major operating system update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. Next year, One UI 8.5 is likely to be released for these models, and then Samsung will switch to security support without new features.

If you want to get the latest versions of One UI as early as possible, you should pay attention to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7. These models come with One UI 8 out of the box and support Android updates for seven generations.
