Hyundai has integrated Google Places into the navigation of its cars
Hyundai has integrated Google Places service into the ccNC multimedia system. The update is already available for models with the latest software installed, including Kona, the new generations of Santa Fe and Tucson, as well as Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N and the upcoming Ioniq 9. Google Places support extends to both new vehicles and those already in customers' possession - integration began in June 2025.
Here's What We Know
With Google Places, Hyundai drivers have access to a huge database of over 200 millionObjects around the world, including restaurants, attractions, petrol stations, shops and more. The service provides detailed information including opening hours, descriptions, photos, ratings and user reviews.
One of the main advantages is improved search: now you can enter an address in free text and the system suggests suitable options before you finish typing. You can also filter by category and brand, and the navigation automatically suggests popular places nearby.
Hyundai and Google are strengthening their cooperation: the companies have previously implemented support for Google Assistant and Android Auto, and now they are taking a step forward in the development of digital services in cars. The automaker said it will further expand its partnership with Google to create new generations of navigation and multimedia platforms.
