There will be no Tom Holland: Nintendo has named the starring roles in the film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto presented the performers of the main roles in the first film adaptation of the popular game franchise.
Here's What We Know
Contrary to the expectations of fans, Tom Holland will not perform the role of Link in the film. This character will be played by a young actor Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who appeared in one of the episodes of the series "Sandman", and the role of Princess Zelda went to sixteen-year-old actress Bo Bragason, who starred in the series "Nell's Bandit".
Earlier it was reported that the first film will be directed by Wes Ball - director of The Maze Runner trilogy, and the producers of the film are the creator of The Legend of Zelda series Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad - former Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment.
Unfortunately, it's still unknown whether the film will be an adaptation of one of the existing games or offer an entirely new story.
The Legend of Zelda is scheduled to premiere on 7 May 2027.
