Experts: GTA VI could bring in more than $7.6bn for developers in just two months
No analyst doubts the grand success of GTA VI, but Konvoy, an agency that specialises in investing in gaming platforms and technology, seems to employ the biggest optimists in the industry.
Here's What We Know
Back at the beginning of the year, Financial Times journalists approached several analyst agencies with questions about the potential success of Grand Theft Auto VI and the experts made some high-profile predictions. Then experts predicted that pre-orders will bring developers $1 billion, and the total revenue of the game in the first year after release will reach $3.2 billion.
However, the new figures from Konvoy are much more impressive!
Analyst Josh Chapman from Konvoy, having analysed all the potential components of success, believes that the total revenue of GTA VI in the first two months after release will exceed $7.6 billion - such figures have never been reached by any other game!
Konvoy analysts believe that the cost of the base version of GTA 6 will be $80, while recall that according to unofficial information, the production budget of the game is estimated at $2 billion (no game has not even come close to $1 billion, let alone such figures).
When We Can Expect It
GTA VI is scheduled for release on 26 May 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
