Xiaomi has unveiled the Bone Conduction Earphones 2 sports headphones designed specifically for swimming and active lifestyles. The device combines bone conduction technology, in-built offline player and Bluetooth module to ensure comfortable music listening even underwater.

Here's What We Know

The headphones are IP68 waterproof, allowing them to be used when submerged up to 5 metres for up to two hours. With 32GB inbuilt memory, users can download music directly to the earphones and listen to it without connecting to a smartphone.

Bone Conduction Earphones 2 supports popular audio formats including MP3, FLAC and AAC.

Xiaomi paid special attention to the swimming mode, created in collaboration with Finnish company Suunto, which produces gadgets for divers. This mode tracks training parameters: pace, number of paddles, distance and breathing angle. This makes the Bone Conduction Earphones 2 an interesting gadget for athletes.

The earphones also feature an updated vibration system that improves sound quality and supports three sound modes: everyday, street and aquatic. The battery life reaches up to 12 hours, and a quick charge in 10 minutes provides up to 3 hours of audio playback.

Xiaomi's Bone Conduction Earphones 2 will be exclusive to the Chinese market for now. Sales of the device will start on 21 July, and the recommended price is $100 (converted from yuan).
