Bloomberg: Apple to release iPad Pro with M5 and dual front cameras by end of year

Apple is preparing to update its iPad Pro line. The new models will have the M5 chip and two front cameras for shooting and video calls in any position of the tablet. This was reported by journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

Here's What We Know

Currently, the iPad Pro with the M4 chip has only one front camera, which is optimised for use in horizontal mode, for example, when using a keyboard or stand. Nevertheless, Face ID works at any angle, so the dual camera should make it even more convenient: users will be able to conduct video meetings or record videos without restrictions on how to hold the device - vertically or horizontally.

Last year, the iPad Pro received a significant update - a thinner body and an OLED display, which significantly improved the image quality. Now, the changes will be more focused: a new powerful M5 chip and a dual front-facing camera will be the main novelties.

The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported that the production of the iPad Pro with the M5 chip would start in the second half of 2025. Apple typically updates its Pro models about once every 18 months, so it is likely that the new products will be presented in September or October this year.

As a reminder, the current iPad Pro with M4 was introduced in May 2024 and became the first Apple tablet with an OLED display and the thinnest body in the history of the line. It is expected that the new models will retain this design with only internal technical improvements.

Apple has not yet commented on the new iPad Pro officially.
