Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is postponed again: when can we expect the finale of the animated trilogy about Miles Morales?
Fans of the Spider-Man animated universe, get ready for another piece of news that may not please you. The release of the animated film Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been postponed again, this time by three weeks - from 4 June to 25 June 2027, Deadline reports. This is not the first postponement for the long-awaited conclusion of the Miles Morales trilogy.
Here's What We Know
Initially, the animated sequel was supposed to debut on 29 March 2024, but it was postponed indefinitely in July 2023 due to strikes by the Writers Guild (WGA) and the actors' union SAG-AFTRA. It took Sony almost two years to set a final date, although as it turned out, it was not so final again.
No official reason was given for the delay. However, it is not uncommon for major film studios to change their release schedules for various reasons that we usually don't know about. In some cases, big releases are postponed to avoid conflicts with each other, but it's unclear if that was the reason this time.
However, it is very likely that the film was postponed to a time when all schools in the US were closed and students could go to the cinema without any problems.
There is no official plot synopsis for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse hasn't been released yet, but if you've seen the ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, then you already have a rough idea of the cliffhanger.
