Ukrainian manufacturer KVERTUS has announced the start of serial production of the AD BERSERK remote-controlled ground platform, which is capable of delivering electronic warfare systems to the most dangerous areas of the frontline. The new product is designed to operate in high-risk areas where every extra step a person takes can cost a life. In AD modifications, BERSERK can also evacuate the wounded or deliver ammunition and supplies to the frontline.

The platform is powered by a built-in 48 V, 60 Ah battery, has a range of up to 20 km and a speed of up to 25 km/h. It can be controlled at a distance of up to 500 m via radio or fibre-optic connection to protect against enemy electronic warfare. It can transport up to 700 kg when folded and up to 400 kg when deployed.

The EW system on the platform is equipped with omni-directional and directional antennas, effectively jamming signals in the 220 MHz to 5.9 GHz bands with a power output of up to 50 W per module. The range is up to 1.5 km with directional antennas. The operating time is no more than 30 seconds, and battery life is up to 4 hours.

Earlier, we wrote that Kvertus has created the MS Azimuth system that can detect Russian UAVs within a radius of 15 km, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces received Ukrainian-made KVS ANTIDRON G-6 anti-drone guns with a range of up to 3 km.

About KVERTUS

Kvertus is a Ukrainian manufacturer of electronic warfare (EW) and intelligence (ELINT) products founded in 2017 by Andriy Znaichenko. The company creates a wide range of solutions: portable pistols, backpack EW systems, stationary installations, mobile platforms, and signal intelligence systems. Among its key developments are AD Berserk (mobile electronic warfare platform), LTEJ Mirage (intelligent jamming system at any frequency), and MS Azimuth (ELINT system). Kvertus cooperates with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and other security agencies, produces thousands of devices every month, tests them in the field and is certified according to NATO standards.

What is electronic warfare?

Electronic warfare (EW) is a set of measures to control the electromagnetic environment on the battlefield and disrupt enemy communication, navigation and control systems. Electronic warfare systems detect, jam or distort enemy signals and protect their own assets from such effects. They operate in a wide range of frequencies, from radio and GPS to unmanned aerial vehicles and satellite channels. Electronic warfare is divided into three main areas: electronic jamming (jamming signals), electronic defence (countering enemy jamming attempts) and electronic intelligence (intercepting and analysing signals). In modern warfare, electronic warfare has become one of the key elements that influence the outcome of operations.
