The Emmy Award-winning Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso is officially back in production: filming for the fourth season has begun in Kansas City and will continue later in London. The first promo photo is already online - Ted and his close associates are together again, but now in a cosy American diner instead of an English pub.

Here's What We Know

Season four promises a new twist - Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) returns to Richmond to coach a Division Two women's football team. The sequel promises to be not just nostalgic, but plot-driven: according to insider reports, the new season explores the aftermath of Ted's departure from AFC Richmond, as well as expanding the series' universe.

The main cast - Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Swift - is joined by new faces like Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay, Grant Feeley, and more. Although details of the new season are being kept secret, producers promise to keep the show's trademark emotion and humour.

The writers and producers previously said the story would conclude after three seasons, but the project unexpectedly received a renewal in March. A fourth season is expected to be released in late 2025 or early 2026.
