Samsung has already started rolling out the first update for its flagship foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 7. This is even before the device officially goes on sale on 25 July.

Here's What We Know

Usually, Samsung sends the first updates after the start of sales, but this time the company decided to act earlier. According to the description, the update contains only the July 2025 security patch. The software is already stable out of the box. This is confirmed by previous tests of the device.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 is designed for long-term support. Samsung promises 7 years of Android and One UI updates, as well as monthly security patches for at least four years. The same policy applies to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE models.

The update is currently available in South Korea, but should be available in other countries soon. After purchasing a smartphone, you can download the update through the Settings and Software Update menus.
