In a new series of interviews, Sucker Punch Productions team revealed more details about Ghost of Yōtei, including how its length compares to the famous Ghost of Tsushima. The original story took about 25 hours to complete, but how else is the sequel similar to it, apart from more diverse activities?

Here's What We Know

In a conversation with VGC, co-director Jason Connell said that the team "developed a game with similar metrics in terms of scale and scope of previous experience. In that sense, we found it to be pretty satisfactory, and there were some good numbers to build on."

Although the amount of additional side content has not yet been confirmed, Connell says that it is similar to Tsushima in terms of "time investment". "We believe that the experience of playing Ghost of Yōtei, whether you're just going through the story, whether you like to go through the whole world and explore, whether you're a hardcore platinum hunter, it's going to be a similar experience."

This may mean that it will take you around 50-60 hours to complete the game, according to the HowLongToBeat estimate for Ghost of Tsushima (which does not include Legends and the Iki Island expansion). And the full story and some of the additional tasks will take about 30 hours.

The story of Ghost of Yōtei revolves around finding and destroying each member of the Yōtei Six. However, there will be plenty of other activities to do in the game, from traditional Bamboo Kicks to coin games and drinking. Atsu will also be able to investigate clues for upgrades and take orders for money.

Ghost of Yōtei is out on 2 October for PlayStation 5.
